Commission Income:

For services in relation to insurance, commissions may be paid by the product provider as follows:

  • Initial Commission: A percentage of the annual insurance premiums is paid when a policy is issued.

  • Service commission: A percentage of the premiums are paid 13 months after the policy has been issued.

  • Commissions payable will be advised to you at the time we provide our advice and before implementation.

Conflicts of Interest and Incentives:

We are here for our clients and to advise you as best we can. Your interests are our priority, although we do have business relationships with product providers. From time to time some product providers assist us by providing webinars, conferences and professional development training.

  • We also receive remuneration from product providers such as commissions. These commissions are between 150 percent and 230 percent of your policy’s premiums for the first year and between 5 percent and 20 percent for each subsequent year. The actual amount depends on the Insurance company and policy chosen.

  • When giving financial advice, I ensure that I prioritises your interests above our own. We follow an advice process that ensures any recommendations are made based on your individual goals and circumstances, and I complete annual training about how to manage conflicts of interest, and we register any gifts and/or incentives we receive. THINK Life & Health Limited monitors this register and provides additional training if necessary. THINK Life & Health Limited also performs an annual review of our compliance programme where our management of conflicts of interest is reviewed so we can ensure best practice.

  • THINK Life & Health Limited may undertake a compliance audit, and a review of the compliance programme annually by a reputable compliance consultancy firm.
